Medgine & Bernard were married on the grounds of The  Maison & Jardin Restaurant in Altamonte Springs. Everything was first class at the Mason Jar as it is affectionately called by the locals, the food was great and the reception ended as an awesome party. Here is their wedding albums  first draft .

Medgine & Bernards Wedding Album

Bernard & Medgine

When Medgine sent me an email saying that she loved my work and she wanted me to cover her wedding I wondered how she knew me or my work. She then let me know that I had photographed her sister Marja’s wedding a few years ago and now she was getting married. I felt honored that she would call on me to cover a 2nd  wedding in the Piard family. Medgine said she wanted a 40’s theme engagement session because she loved the fashion of that era. With that in mind we ended up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to use some of the sets and classic cars that are on the property. Afterwards we linked up with both Madgine & Bernard’s parents along with Marja & Ronny (Best man & Matron of Honor) for a few group photos.

Love that 40’s Style

Every now and then you meet a really unique couple that stands out in your mind. Dante & Taryn are one of those couples. The first thing they let you know right from the start is that they are serious University of Florida Gator Fans, The colors of the day were orange and blue and the suprise guest at the reception were the UF mascots Albert & Alberta. The second is that they love anything about soccer. While they are both UF alumni they are also Bishop Moore High Alum and former members of the soccer team and still actively inolved in the game. And third, they are a fun loving couple (as you see Dante showing his break dancing moves as part of the bride & Groom 1st dance) that gives and receives a lot of love from all those around them.  What a day!

Dante & Taryn

I got a call from James last week saying saying that he and his brother wanted to bring their kids in for Fathers Day photos. As soon as I started talking to the two brothers I could see the close relationship that they had. The older brother James came in with his two young boys James II and Jalen, his brother Jarnac brought in his 4 month old baby girl Jurnei,  his wife Bridget came along to give an assist in handling the new baby. We joked around and had a great time and out of the session came some really  nice Dads day photos, it made me wish that I had taken more photos with my dad when he was around. That old saying about today is a gift and tomorow is not promised, it true!

Jenny & Anthony

When I first met Joyce & Lawrence I pegged them as a very cool sophisticated couple and even though I was right they also have  side to them that I didn’t expect like they both are avid bikers (motorcycles) and how they tore up the dance floor on their wedding night. Lawrence is a long time member of the Lake Mary Fire Department and I found out on their wedding night that the whole department knows how to party. They even parked a fire truck outside of the reception hall at Timacuan Country Club! It was a fun night. Both the church and the reception hall was decorated by Cindy of Cindy’s Creations, she did an awesome job, and Stephanie Joseph of Sugar & Spice events handled the days coordination, Stephanie is very professional and the day went smooth with everything happening on schedule.

The Fireman & The Lady

Trash the Dress sessions are just for fun and getting a lot of really great pictures. Myself and a few other photographer friends got together and decided to get some experience doing a trash the dress session. We are all seasoned photographers but this trash the dress thang was something new to us. So we found a few eager girls ready to trash their gowns, and a photographer that  had done a few Trash The Dress shoots to point us the right direction. What I got from it was that a Trash The Dress shoot is all about having a great time, I went for shoots that would have a lot of impact, with a magazine feel and look about them. I also wanted to show fun in the pictures because this is definitely not a seriuos event. Its all about the bride and how far she wants to go, the stress of the wedding day is over and its time to cut loose and do all the things you were afraid to do in that precious, precious gown.

Trash The Dress!

I would like to dedicate my very 1st blog post to my cousin Robert & his new bride Carmela. I wasn’t able to photograph the wedding because I was already obligated when I was given their wedding date. So I decided to give them an engagement session as part of my wedding gift. We decided to go over to the Jetties at Ponce inlet for a beach session since the wedding was in Jamaica. Neither of these two are the shy type and were open to just about any of my ideas. We had big fun. Many years of joy & happiness to you both.
